How it works

The science behind a longer-lasting roof.

GoNano isn't paint, sealant, or a topical coating. It's a sub-micron silicate that penetrates the asphalt matrix and chemically bonds with granules — restoring the waterproof properties shingles had on day one.

The chemistry

Four properties. One molecule.

Nano-penetration

Particles 1/1000th the size of a human hair penetrate 4mm into the substrate.

Hydrophobic bond

Forms a 110° water contact angle — rain sheets off rather than soaking in.

UV blocking

Reflects 92% of UV-A and UV-B radiation, slowing oxidation by 8–10×.

Granule lock

Re-bonds loose granules to the asphalt matrix, restoring impact resistance.

The difference

Not all roof coatings are created equal.

See how GoNano nanosilica technology compares to conventional sealers.

Old way

Traditional sealers

  • Sits on the surface only
  • Degrades from UV and weathering
  • Requires re-application every 2–4 years
  • Does not restore lost properties
  • Peels, chips, and washes away
The GoNano way

GoNano nanosilica

  • Penetrates the molecular structure
  • Permanent chemical bond within the material
  • One treatment lasts 10–15 years
  • Restores flexibility and waterproofing
  • Cannot peel, wash away, or wear off
The process

From assessment to warranty — in a day.

01Step 1

On-site visual inspection

A trained technician inspects your roof on-site and confirms whether GoNano is the right call. Free and no obligation.

02Step 2

Thermal imaging report

Available upon request, a detailed thermal scan identifies moisture intrusion, heat loss, and hidden trouble spots invisible to the naked eye.

03Step 3

Soft wash + prep

Algae, lichen, and surface contaminants are removed with a low-pressure biocide wash. The shingle surface is brought to factory-clean condition.

04Step 4

GoNano application

Two-person crew spray-applies GoNano with HVLP equipment. Coverage is verified with wet-mil gauges to ensure spec compliance.

05Step 5

Cure + warranty

Coating cures in 4 hours and reaches full bond in 72. You receive a transferable warranty of up to 15 years and a digital service record.
