About GoNano coatings

What is GoNano?+
GoNano is a nanosilica treatment that bonds with the molecular structure of asphalt shingles, wood, and concrete. Unlike traditional sealers that sit on top of a surface, GoNano penetrates from within — restoring flexibility, waterproofing, and strength.
How is this different from a regular roof sealer?+
Traditional sealers form a film on the surface that degrades from UV and weather, peels or chips, and needs reapplication every 2–4 years. GoNano forms a permanent chemical bond inside the material, cannot wash away, and lasts 10–15 years from a single treatment.
Is it safe for my home, family, and landscaping?+
Yes. GoNano is water-based, low-VOC, and non-toxic once cured. We protect plants, siding, and walkways before spraying and rinse off any overspray during cleanup.
Does it change my roof's look?+
GoNano Residential is fully transparent. Color-matched versions are available for HOAs and historic homes.

Is my roof a good fit?

How old does my roof need to be?+
NuRoof Revive is ideal for roofs 6–20 years old with faded, dried, or brittle shingles. NuRoof Fortify is built for newer roofs (under 5 years) as a preventative treatment.
What roofs are NOT a good candidate?+
Roofs with active leaks, missing or severely curled shingles, structural damage or sagging, or shingles that are simply past their useful life. We'll tell you honestly during the free assessment.
Do you work on commercial or flat roofs?+
Today we focus on asphalt shingle residential roofs. Wood and concrete protection are coming soon. Reach out and we'll let you know when those services launch in your area.

Process, pricing, and timing

How long does the application take?+
Most single-family homes are completed in one day. The coating is rain-safe within 4 hours of application.
Do I need to leave my home during the work?+
No. You can stay home and use your home normally. We work from the exterior only.
How much does it cost?+
A typical GoNano restoration runs $2,500–$5,000 depending on roof size, condition, and access — generally 70–85% less than a full replacement. Try our Savings Calculator for a personalized estimate.
Do you offer financing?+
Yes, flexible financing options are available through our partners. Ask us during your assessment and we'll walk you through the choices.
Is the assessment really free?+
Yes. We perform a no-cost, no-obligation on-site visual inspection and email a fixed-price quote within 48 hours.

Warranty and aftercare

What's the warranty?+
GoNano restorations come with a 10–15 year transferable warranty depending on the system applied. The warranty stays with the home if you sell.
Does it require maintenance?+
No periodic resealing or recoating is required. We recommend the same routine roof maintenance you'd do anyway — keep gutters clear and remove debris after major storms.
Will insurance cover this, and what happens after storm damage?+
Increasingly, yes — we work directly with 40+ carriers and provide the documentation adjusters need. GoNano significantly strengthens shingles but doesn't replace your insurance. If a covered hail, wind, or storm event damages the roof, we document the condition, work directly with your adjuster, and our Insurance Restoration Package handles pre/post inspection, ASTM-tested coating, adjuster portal access, and direct carrier invoicing.

Thermal imaging reports

A thermal imaging report uses an infrared camera to reveal what the naked eye can't — heat differentials that point to hidden moisture, air leaks, and insulation gaps in your roof and attic.

What does a thermal imaging report include?+
A multi-page PDF with annotated infrared images of your roof and (where accessible) attic, side-by-side with standard photos. It flags suspected moisture intrusion, heat-loss zones, insulation gaps, and any unusual temperature patterns, plus a written summary from the inspector and recommended next steps.
How is the scan performed?+
Our technician uses a calibrated handheld infrared camera, typically during early morning or evening when temperature contrast is highest. Most single-family scans take 30–60 minutes on site. No drilling, no tear-off, no disruption to your home.
What problems can it actually find?+
Hidden moisture under shingles, leaking flashing, blocked ventilation, missing or compressed insulation, and heat loss around chimneys, skylights, and roof penetrations — issues that visual inspections regularly miss.
Is the thermal imaging report free?+
Our on-site visual inspection is always free. A full thermal imaging report is an optional add-on offered at cost. If you proceed with a GoNano restoration, the report fee is credited toward your project.
How do I request one?+
Check the “Request a thermal imaging report” box on the assessment form on our Contact page, or mention it when you call. We'll confirm scheduling and pricing within 48 hours and email the finished report as a PDF after the scan.
Can I share the report with my insurance adjuster?+
Yes. The report is timestamped, geotagged, and formatted for insurance and adjuster review. Carriers on our Insurance plan can receive it directly through the adjuster portal.
